Redivivus – Wordplay Wednesday™ 01/01/2020

“Hindsight is 20/20.” What Will You Do with 2020’s Insight?

Yes, a New Year can be exciting and invigorating. But this week we’re facing a double whammy! A New Year and a New Decade**2020 … a great time to recall the adage, “Hindsight is 20/20.”

Looking back can be scary; but it can also give you great insight to how you can revitalize your life in the New Year … New Decade … what will you do with it?

Whatever you want … it’s your once-in-a-decade opportunity to be …

REDIVIVUS (redʹi vīʹvɘs) adj. – restored to life; reborn; reincarnated: usually used metaphorically. [Pronounced red uh vi-vus; WW #249*]

At least once, before you reengage with reality after the Holidays, take some time for yourself. If that includes writing, work redivivus into your fiction, nonfiction, or blog. Where will it take you?

We all deserve a “second chance” at our resolutions—and that may be for the third, fourth, or tenth time! Hindsight’s insights can offer foresight. It’s called renewal …

Periodically, your body, mind, spirit and soul need refreshing. Why not now? Make 2020 a whole year of redivivus living.

Life is SO big …and yet, so small. Time makes decisions for us all. And timing is everything.

Word Challenge: REDIVIVUS. Happy New Year, New Decade, and CHEERS to you and yours as you fit redivivus into your week of restorative writings.

Learning knows no prejudices or boundaries, and it isn’t fattening! Expanding your mind is a no-cost, simple joy. Do you feel that way too? What’s your inspiration? Share your creative genius and Wordplay Wednesday comments below.

Write first for yourself … only then can you write for others. (L.Rochelle)

Redintegrate – Wordplay Wednesday™ 11/25/2019

Eureka! The Perfect Thanksgiving Word

Before you head into our annual day of attitude with gratitude, give this week’s Wordplay Wednesday a creative moment of thought … it’ll set your mood, I promise …

REDINTEGRATE (ri dinʹtɘ grātʹ) vt. – to make whole or perfect again; reunite; reestablish. [WW #244*]

Great vintage photo dinner idea from Country Living
With this week’s word we celebrate what many of us are attempting on Thanksgiving … redintegrating our families and friends with the opportunity to bring us full circle through another year … together … even if only in spirit.

Let’s raise our glasses in thanks, while we look forward to a colorful New Year and a new decade … together … as a family—in theory or reality—a community, and a society. This decade has been tough. Lighten it up.

Discuss … together … what good has come of the struggles, and how it can be enhanced. Embrace unity to redintegrate those who comprise your inner circle, and urge the ripples to reach far and wide.

Life isn’t perfect, but in the essence of Thanksgiving, redintegrate is—it defines the day of gratitude that we may not be able to replicate often during our busy lives. Closing out a year and a decade, however, is a reason to coalesce with solace. With resolutions to do better.

Word Challenge: REDINTEGRATE. Whether you have a clan at the table, or a tableful of memories, reunite your thoughts to give thanks this week for simply being, as you fit redintegrate into your week of grateful writings.

Learning knows no prejudices or boundaries, and it isn’t fattening! Expanding your mind is a no-cost, simple joy. Do you feel that way too? What’s your inspiration? Share your creative genius and Wordplay Wednesday comments below.
